The huge "Twin Lakes" - Norfork and Bull Shoals - spread throughout the area, creating a shoreline of 1120 miles and offer the finest in outdoor water recreation. These lakes are are renowned for their clean, clear water. They are very popular with water-skiers, scuba divers, sailboaters, houseboaters and swimmers.
The world famous White and North Fork Rivers, which issue respectively from Bull Shoals and Norfork Dams, draw anglers from around the world in search of trophy rainbow and brown trout. Our lakes and rivers are one of the few places where you can fish for several species of bass and trout plus walleye and other gamefish all in the same day.
The twin lakes, Norfork and Bull Shoals, offer endless opportunities for excitement. Scuba diving, skiing, boating, spear fishing, trout fishing, these deep blue lakes will bring you back again and again. Three rivers, The White, Norfork, and Buffalo, stir up even more action, from slow lazy floats, to white water rapids, trophy fishing, rustic camping or luxurious lodging and dining. Antiquing is always in season, while local craft fairs and festivals provide unique shopping opportunities year round. Fine food, championship golf courses, and friendly places to stay for any taste and budget will highlight your trip to the Mountain Home Area.
